Welcome to my new blog. My name is Brice Gaillard. I’m the co-founder of Tongo, a brand new translation service over phone for Foreigners in China who have trouble to understand and be understood by Chinese people. I live in Beijing since march but I was student last year for about 9 months in Dalian, Liaoning.

This isn’t my first blog, I blog in French for almost two years now. But as I’m starting a new adventure, here in Beijing with Tongo, I thougt it could be a good idea to start a new blog from scratch but this time in English.

I’m a passionate. I’m (almost) graduated from EPITECH, one of the computer science schools who has the highest concentration of geeks in France per square meter. I like technology and most of all, I like the internet and all the new applications who are emerging from it.

When I came back from Dalian to finish my master in Paris, something amazed me: A lot of things are happening in China and nobody cares about it. China is the country with the most Internet users. We should look at it closely.

As you might guess, this blog will be about bridging the gap, technology and China. I propose you to discover, with me, what’s happening here and what is different and similar between China and the west. I hope you will enjoy reading my blog as I enjoy writing it. (And I hope my english isn’t so bad, but… hey, I’m French! )
